San Marcos Growers are a wholesale plant nursery located in the Goleta Valley, just north of Santa Barbara, California. Since 1979 they have grown plants appropriate to California’s mediterranean climate, including many California native plants, as well as vines, trees, shrubs, ferns, perennials, succulents, ornamental grasses and grass-like plants from other areas around the world.

 

Their new plants are distributed throughout California to retail nurseries and landscape professionals.

Knife Acacia

This evergreen shrub will grow about 10-15′ tall and 10-15′ wide. It has small, silvery gray, very uniquely shaped leaves and clusters of yellow flowers.

Nodding Pincushion

A dense attractive upright shrub that grows to 6 feet tall by 4 feet wide with narrow long green leaves and brilliant bright orange flowers in late spring and early summer.

Blue Glow Agave

This beautiful succulent slowly reaches 2′ tall and 3′ wide and has thick, blue green leaves with red along the margins.

Long John Grevillea

This delicate looking shrub  has thick, sturdy brown stems with bright green, needle-like leaves and elegant red flowers.

Mexican Palo Verde

This tree is very fast growing with sparse foliage and long narrow leaves. Yellow flowers with orange red throats bloom sporadically.

Geelaalwyn

Geelaalwyn is a succulent in the Aloe family with densely packed upright gray-green leaves and sharp reddish spines.
