Sunset Western Garden Collection, introduced in spring 2012, is the first plant collection designed specifically for the Western gardener. Sunset® magazine and Plant Development Services collaborated to bring these superior plant introductions to retail garden centers throughout California, Oregon, and Washington. Their partnerships with local growers allow them to customize the collection to best meet the climatic differences of the diverse gardening regions.

Mahonia ‘Soft Caress’
The dwarf Oregon-grape is and evergreen shrub that grows to 3 ft. tall and equally wide. It has green and bronzy leaves, yellow flowers, and purple berries.
Dianella ‘Clarity Blue’
This dwarf looking, reliable perennial reaches 1′ tall and 6″ wide. Leaves are florescent blue green, 1″ wide, slightly stiff. Pale blue flowers emerge from the center in spring, followed by dark blue berries.
Lomandra ‘Platinum Beauty’
This perennial grass reaches about 3′ in height. Leaves are glossy green, shiny, firm, flat. Each cluster has a sharp, slender, straw-colored bract at its base.
