There are two components to winning a job – great ideas, delivered quickly.

Imagine meeting with your client to discuss their garden and being able to send them a presentation or lookbook within minutes of your meeting!
If you’re looking for a quick way to put together presentations for your clients, give this a try:

Take some time up front to create a series of palettes of plants you use all the time.

For our example, we are going to create these palettes:

  1. Mediterranean plants we use in every project
  2. Erosion control plants
  3. Plants for raised planter – Mediterranean style
  4. Our favorite mediterranean style trees
  5. Container plants

Great! Now you have a variety of palettes ready to go with plants you know and love. Then, when you meet with your client and discuss their plans, you can quickly assemble plants for them to review.

Say you meet with your client and learn they have a large hillside in the backyard and want to do a patio with lots of pots and they love Mediterranean style.

Build a Presentation in Minutes using Palettes

Here is how easy this is. First, start a new project for your client, then go to the plant search page. Make sure your project is selected in the “Add Plants to” section of the left side bar.

Next, in the filters below, select Mediterranean plants, erosion control plants, container plants, and maybe the palette of mediterranean trees. Then, simply click the button “Add Current Results” to add all the plants to your current project. Done!

You can send this to your client in minutes with a note to see what stands out to them and prove that you are working hard for them!

Of course, don’t forget to add in any plants you discussed during your meeting, but your initial proposal or vision could be in their inbox within a few minutes of meeting them.

That’s how you build a presentation in minutes using palettes!
